In 1959, a Foursquare Church pastor by the name of Arthur Gerhold came to Ottawa, Kansas to plant a new congregation. He started with just a few people on the north side of town. Later that same year, the new Foursquare Church moved to the present location at 9th & Hickory Street. In 1963 Pastor Gerhold accepted a position with a church in California and Clyde Greisen came to Ottawa to serve as the new pastor.
Needing a larger space, the church made plans to build a new building, so the new chapel was finished in 2008. In due course, we changed our name from Community Foursquare Church to Community Foursquare Chapel.
